BLOOD!

TWO THOUSAND
MANIACS: A Southern
town wiped out in the
Civil War comes back
to life 100 years later
to take revenge ona
group of Yankee
tourists. Some weird
contraptions that kill
people in cool ways.

THE BLOOD TRILOGY:
A slipcased box set
with the just-described
DVDs of
BLOOD FEAST,
TWO THOUSAND
MANIACS and
COLOR ME BLOOD RED.

COLOR ME BLOOD
RED: An artist named
Adam finds the perfect
shade of red for his
latest paintings.
Strangely, the blood is
still bright red when it
dries.

BLOOD FEAST: An exotic
caterer named Fuad
Ramses kills Nubile
maidens (in brilliant 60s
color) to prepare for the
feast of Ishtar. Even the
dull moments are never
dull in this one.

MORE BLOOD!

THE GORE GORE
GIRLS: A smart-ass
detective works on a
series of murders. Not
one of my personal
favorites, but it does
features an appearance
by Henny Youngman!

THE GRUESOME
TWOSOME: An old
woman and her
mentally-challenged
son stock their wig
shop with hair by
scalping local women.
I like this one a lot.

THE WIZARD OF
GORE: A magician
questions the nature
of reality by
performing brutal
disembowelments,
etc. on audience
members. My favorite
(and that's why I'm
giving one away)!

A TASTE OF BLOOD:
Haven't seen this
one, but it's Lewis's
most expensive
production, and has
been described as too
classy for Hersch, but
still not good enough
to be a real movie.

BABES!

SHE-DEVILS ON WHEELS:
Rather than hiring
attractive actresses for
this movie, Lewis used
(mostly) actual female
bikers who can't act and
look rugged. Lots of fun!

Sinderella/ GOLDILOCKS
AND THE THREE BARES:
Goldilocks is a Lewis/
Friedman nudist camp
movie (and a musical) it
features an appearance
by a champion boxer no
one's heard of since.

Doctor Gore/ HOW TO
MAKE A DOLL: How To
Make a Doll is a later
Lewis movie that all
takes place in one
cramped location, and
concerns (or so I've
read) someone building
the perfect girl robot.
It's a comedy (but
aren't they all?)

Defilers / SCUM OF
THE EARTH: Scum is
an early b/w Lewis/
Friedman effort, and
one of the first of the
"roughies". SWV
mastered this disc
from one of 6 prints
that ever existed.

BONKERS!

SOMETHING WEIRD:
A witch gives a
disfigured man his face
back after an accident,
and he becomes
psychic. Something
weird indeed.

THIS STUFF'LL KILL YA/
YEAR OF THE YAHOO:
I haven't seen either of
these. This Stuff is
about moonshine
runners and Year of the
Yahoo is Lewis's
long-lost political movie!

Wonderful Land of Oz/
Jack and the Beanstalk:
This disc has (as a
bonus feature), a
condensation of one of
Lewis's kids movies:
SANTA VISITS THE
MAGICAL WORLD OF
MOTHER GOOSE, which
is actually just a filmed
stage play with awful
costumes.

MONSTER A GO-GO/
Psyched by the 4-D
Witch: Monster was
an unfinished movie
that Lewis got ahold
of (starring the
world's tallest man
as the monster) and
added bizarre stock
footage and cartoon
sequences to. I
haven't seen the
result, but it's not
supposed to be one
of his better efforts.

JUST FOR THE HELL OF
IT / BLAST OFF GIRLS:
Just for the Hell of It is
a juvenile delinquent
movie about kids in
their mid-20s who go to
the doctor's office
waiting room and rip up
all the magazines! Blast
Off Girls is sort of
mistitled, but it's the
cool story of a rock
band trying to get out
from under the thumb
of their evil manager. It
has a guest appearance
by COLONEL SANDERS!
Both of these are highly
recommended!

AND BACK TO BLOOD!

BLOOD FEAST 2:ALL U CAN EAT:
Still haven't seen this one, but
when it was going into production, I
e-mailed the office several times
trying to get on the crew. From all
I've heard it, it's excellent (in an
H.G. Lewis way of course).
Incidentally, there were 3 (!)
different versions released:
R-rated, unrated, and a (not so
special) Special Edition
